  001   F’ayi is Not a Combat-Oriented Character. While she has some past adventuring experience, F’ayi is not a fighter by trade. Her abilities lie more in healing, strategy, and resourcefulness. Expect her to solve problems with intelligence and diplomacy rather than combat, though she will not hesitate to protect herself or her loved ones if necessary.  002   Emphasis on Emotional Depth. F’ayi is a deeply complex character, and her internal struggles, personal growth, and emotional development will be explored frequently. Biography

F’ayi Cosmos was born into the Cosmos family, a legacy of skilled artisans from Doma, where her parents created beautiful and practical works of craftsmanship. However, their peaceful life was shattered when the Garlean occupation began. Shortly after F’ayi and her twin sister, Tali’ja, were born, only a few months old, their parents were forced to flee their homeland, seeking safety from the chaos. The family’s journey was perilous, and they eventually found refuge in Gridania. Along the way, they discovered a frightened, lost Miqo’te toddler, whom they took in and named Ae’ri. The three girls were raised together, bound by love, shared hardship, and the unbreakable resilience forged in the face of adversity.While Tali’ja flourished in martial skills and Ae’ri’s talent for hunting blossomed, F’ayi’s heart called her to healing. She immersed herself in the magical arts, learning to craft remedies and spells to aid those in need. Though her family proudly carried on their craftsmanship, F’ayi’s passion led her to a different path, one of nurturing and care. Her desire to make a difference eventually led her to join a group of adventurers, where she hoped to find her true purpose. However, the harsh realities of adventuring soon became apparent. Despite her best efforts, F’ayi struggled with the weight of loss and the constant pressure to save those around her. Each failed attempt to protect someone she cared for left her feeling like a failure.

One fateful expedition brought her face to face with a dangerous band of marauders. F’ayi, desperate to help a fallen comrade, rushed forward, only to be struck by a vicious blade across her side. The wound left a long scar, a constant reminder of her vulnerability and the consequences of her inability to save everyone. The scar also became a symbol of her growing belief that adventuring might not be the right path for her, and with a heavy heart, she decided to step away from that life, choosing instead to offer her healing in other ways. It was in this moment at F’ayi realized that she was not able to continue this path, to continue helping people in the way she hoped.After leaving her adventuring life behind, F’ayi poured her energy into a small café, hoping to carve out a space for herself in a world that often felt overwhelming. But the pressures of maintaining the business while still battling her own self-doubt took their toll. There were days when the weight of expectations, both from others and herself, seemed unbearable. She found herself working late into the night, obsessively refining recipes and creating new ways to engage with customers, all in the hopes of proving to herself that she wasn’t a failure. The café was thriving as she had hoped. Countless people found solace and comfort inside of its walls, and yet she still doubted herself and her abilities. F’ayi began to wonder if she had made the right choice in leaving adventuring behind.

During one particularly difficult period, a chance encounter with a traveling healer changed the course of her life. The healer, who had been passing through Gridania, offered her a simple piece of advice: “You can’t heal others until you heal yourself.” The words hit F’ayi deeply, and for the first time in a long time, she realized that she needed to step back—not from her passions, but from her need to constantly prove herself.Taking this advice to heart, she began to focus on her own well-being, allowing herself the space to breathe and heal without the burden of perfection. She elected to close down the cafe temporarily in hopes of being able to heal herself before seeking to heal others. Tears were shed when the doors and windows were shuttered, but she knew that she couldn’t continue on her current path. This time of introspection was pivotal, as F’ayi was able to confront her anxieties and past traumas more openly, working through the emotional scars that she had buried for so long. She no longer sought validation from her achievements but began to embrace the quiet joy of simply being.
It was then that she decided to reopen the café, not as a way to prove her worth, but as a place to truly connect with others, sharing her own story of resilience while providing a haven for those in need of comfort and healing.

Though respected, they were not nobility—instead, their influence stemmed from their craftsmanship and service to nobility, merchant houses, and the common folk.
